On July 15 1904 The Shenandoah Herald reported "Jason C. Foltz" was issued a license to distill liquor at his place in Headquaters Virginia.

The actual name of the individual individual distilling alcohol was James Calvin Foltz. His nickname was "Stillhouse James" Foltz.
