In 1976 Jim and Emma Randel established Shenandoah Vineyards on her family's farm. It was only the 5th winery established in Virginia during modern times and is the second oldest still in operation.

Today, Shenandoah Vineyards includes 15 acres of plantings with just over 5000 vines. Wines produced include Riesling, Vidal, Seyval, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Chambourcin, and Traminette. A tasting room and store operate on site.
